EX Academy offers two program tracks: the EX Fellowship (3–6 month, fully funded) and the Summer Sprint (6-week, paid). Both combine educational curriculum in AI, entrepreneurship, and business management with unpaid practical internship experiences at portfolio companies. The in-person experience takes place in Canggu, Bali, Indonesia and/or the Canary Islands, Spain. All program fees (Summer Sprint) are invoiced by Life AI Science Inc., a company registered in the United States. EX Academy is not an Indonesia-based business.
All internship placements are unpaid practical experiences provided as part of the educational curriculum. Internships do not constitute employment, and no wages, salaries, or compensation of any kind are provided for internship activities. Participants are not employees of EX Academy, EX Venture, or any portfolio company during their program participation.
EX Fellowship (3–6 month): The fellowship is fully funded. Housing in premium shared villas, weekday lunch (Monday through Friday), mentorship, and educational curriculum are provided at no cost to fellows. Summer Sprint (6-week): The program fee covers the online educational curriculum, mentorship, and digital resources, and is invoiced by Life AI Science Inc. (USA). Accommodation and weekday meals are included. For both tracks, fees do not include international flights, visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses, weekend activities, or meals outside the weekday lunch provision. Accommodation and meal services are provided by licensed local property management companies.
Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate visas for their stay. For Bali: most nationalities can enter Indonesia on a Visa on Arrival (VOA) for 30 days, extendable to 60 days. Fellowship participants (3–6 months) should arrange a social/cultural visa (B211A) or student visa before arrival. For the Canary Islands: EU/EEA citizens have freedom of movement; non-EU participants should check Schengen visa requirements. EX Academy provides guidance on visa options but does not guarantee visa approval. Participants must have valid travel insurance for the duration of their program.
Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct, respect local laws and customs, attend scheduled activities, and contribute positively to the community. EX Academy reserves the right to dismiss participants for serious misconduct without refund.
EX Academy and its affiliates are not liable for personal injury, loss of property, or any other damages arising from participation in the program, except where caused by gross negligence. Participants acknowledge the inherent risks of international travel and agree to assume responsibility for their own safety and well-being.
Work produced during internship placements may be subject to intellectual property agreements with the respective portfolio company. Participants will be informed of any IP requirements before beginning their placement.
